Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust to desired spice level)

1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil to simplify cleanup. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet; this will help the wings cook evenly and become crispy.

Make the Marinade: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, sriracha sauce, minced ginger, garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and well blended.

Marinate the Wings: In a large zip-top plastic bag or a mixing bowl, add the chicken wings. Pour the prepared marinade over the wings, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag (if using) or cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Refrigerate and allow the wings to marinate for at least 1 hour, but for maximum flavor, overnight is best.

Bake the Wings: Remove the marinated wings from the refrigerator and arrange them in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes. Flip the wings halfway through cooking for even crisping, and watch for a golden brown color.

Glaze the Wings: Once the wings reach a crispy, golden brown, take them out of the oven. Generously brush the wings with any leftover marinade using a basting brush. Return them to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the glaze to set beautifully.

Garnish and Serve: After baking, let the wings rest for a few minutes. Before serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds and finely chopped green onions for a fresh touch.

Enjoy!: Serve your hot spicy maple glazed chicken wings alongside your favorite dipping sauces like ranch or blue cheese. Dig in and savor every bite!
