Ingredients

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and diced

1 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 package (1 sheet) puff pastry, thawed

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Flour, for dusting

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Filling: In a spacious mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the chopped spinach, diced artichoke hearts, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix using a spatula or a mixer until the mixture is creamy and well blended.

Roll Out the Puff Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, carefully roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet to a thickness of approximately 1/8 inch. Cut the pastry into 2-inch squares or circles according to your preferred shape and size.

Assemble the Puff Melts: Take a tablespoon of the spinach-artichoke filling and place it in the center of each puff pastry piece. Ensure not to overfill them. Gently fold the edges of the pastry over the filling, pinching the seams together to seal them securely. For added decoration, you can crimp the edges with the tines of a fork.

Egg Wash: Arrange the filled puff melts on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops lightly with the beaten egg to enhance their color and shine as they bake.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is beautifully puffed up and golden brown. Keep an eye on them as baking times may vary based on your oven.

Cool and Serve: After baking, remove the puff melts from the oven and allow them to cool slightly on the baking sheet for a few minutes. Serve these warm and delightful bites as a perfect appetizer or snack.
