Ingredients

8 oz spaghetti

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 cup taco sauce

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup diced red onion

1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)

12 mini taco shells (store-bought or homemade)

Sour cream for topping

Instructions

Cook the Spaghetti: In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, typically about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and set aside.

Prepare the Meat: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef (or turkey). Cook until the meat is evenly browned and fully cooked, approximately 5-7 minutes, using a spatula to break it into small pieces. After cooking, drain any excess fat from the skillet.

Season the Meat: Add the garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the skillet with the cooked meat. Stir to evenly distribute the spices and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the spices to become aromatic.

Combine Ingredients: Reduce the heat to low and pour the taco sauce into the skillet. Gently fold in the cooked spaghetti, ensuring that the pasta is well coated and mixed with the meat and sauce. Heat for another 2-3 minutes, until everything is warmed through.

Assemble the Taco Bites: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the mini taco shells on a baking tray. Using a spoon, evenly distribute the spaghetti and meat mixture into each taco shell. Generously top each filled shell with shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, red onion, and chopped cilantro if desired.

Bake: Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.

Serve: After removing the tray from the oven, allow the taco bites to cool for a few minutes. Serve them warm, topped with a dollop of sour cream for added creaminess!
