Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup cooked and shredded chicken (such as rotisserie chicken for convenience)

1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Olive oil spray (for a crispy finish)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven heats up, line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then mix everything together until thoroughly combined.

Roll Out the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough carefully on a clean surface and separate it into individual triangles. Make sure to keep the dough cool to prevent sticking.

Fill the Dough: Take one triangle at a time and spoon approximately 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture onto the wider end of the triangle. Gently fold the corners over the filling and roll up the dough towards the point to form a compact bite-sized crescent shape.

Place on Baking Sheet: Arrange the filled crescent bites on the prepared baking sheet with the seam-side facing down. For a golden, crispy top, lightly spray the tops with olive oil spray.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent bites are puffed and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the crescent bites from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving. If desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves for a pop of color and flavor. Serve warm with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 12 bites

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the bites on a rustic wooden platter or a sleek serving dish. Include a small bowl of marinara for dipping in the center, surrounded by the crescent bites for an inviting presentation.
