Ingredients

2 cups pretzel crumbs

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and diced

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

Whipped cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Crust: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the pretzel crumbs with the melted butter and granulated sugar. Use a fork or spatula to mix thoroughly until all crumbs are evenly coated with butter. Transfer the mixture to a parchment-lined 9x9-inch square baking dish, pressing it down firmly with the back of a measuring cup or your hands to create an even layer. Once the crust is compacted, place the dish in the freezer to set for about 10 minutes.

Make the Yogurt Mixture: While the crust is setting, take a separate large bowl and whisk together the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt. Continue to whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or syrup if desired.

Layer the Ingredients: After the crust has firmed up, carefully remove it from the freezer. Pour half of the yogurt mixture over the pretzel crust, using a spatula to spread it evenly across the surface. Next, layer the diced strawberries over the yogurt mixture, distributing them evenly. Finally, pour the remaining yogurt mixture on top of the strawberries, smoothing it out to ensure that the fruit is completely covered.

Freeze the Squares: Cover the baking dish tightly with plastic wrap or a lid, then place it back in the freezer. Allow the squares to freeze for at least 4 hours or until they are completely set and firm to the touch.

Cut and Serve: Once the dessert has fully frozen, remove it from the freezer. Let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly, which will make cutting easier. Using a sharp knife, cut the yogurt squares into about 16 equal pieces. Serve immediately, and if desired, add a dollop of whipped cream on top for an extra touch of indulgence.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 4 hours 20 minutes | Servings: 16 squares

Presentation Tips: For a beautiful presentation, arrange the squares on a decorative platter and garnish with additional fresh strawberries and mint leaves around the edges.
