1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg (optional)

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

Zest of 1 lemon (for a vibrant touch)

Extra grated Parmesan and fresh basil for garnish

Cook the Spaghetti: In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water for later use, then drain the spaghetti and set it aside.
