Ingredients

For the Brownies:

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup cold brew coffee

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

For the Coffee Whipped Cream:

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 tablespoon cold brew coffee

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Toppings:

Chocolate shavings

Chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9x9 inch baking pan by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper for easy removal.

      Prepare the Brownie Batter:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the unsweetened cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and packed brown sugar. Whisk these dry ingredients together until they’re evenly mixed. Next, pour in the melted butter and cold brew coffee, stirring the mixture until fully incorporated.

Mix in the Eggs and Vanilla:

Crack the eggs into the bowl one at a time, ensuring each egg is well mixed into the batter before adding the next. Once all the eggs are blended in, add the vanilla extract and mix thoroughly.

              Combine Dry Ingredients:

In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients using a spatula or wooden spoon, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to over-mix!

                  Bake the Brownies:

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

                      Make the Coffee Whipped Cream:

While the brownies are cooling, prepare the whipped cream. In a chilled mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, cold brew coffee, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer on medium-high speed, whip the mixture until soft peaks begin to form; be vigilant not to over-whip.

                          Assemble the Brownie Bowls:

Once the brownies have completely cooled, cut them into squares or, for a more elegant presentation, use a muffin ring to cut them into rounds. Place each brownie in a dessert bowl, or even a small mason jar for a fun twist. Generously dollop the coffee whipped cream on top of each brownie.

                              Add Toppings:

Enhance your brownie bowls with an assortment of toppings. Sprinkle chocolate shavings over the whipped cream, add a handful of chopped nuts, and finish with optional sprinkles for a festive touch.

                                  Serve and Enjoy:

Serve your cold brew brownie bowls immediately to savor their delightful flavors, or refrigerate them for 30 minutes to let the flavors meld and chill for a refreshing dessert experience.
